Fundraising Ideas

Your Dress Up or Down for a Pound day can be as simple or as sophisticated as you like. You could pick a theme or everyone could dress as they please. Whatever you choose, please remember that all those participating must pay a pound!

There are plenty of ways you can raise extra money on your Dress Up or Down for a Pound day. You could run a raffle, fill a Smartie Tube with £1 coins, serve refreshments or hold a sale of unwanted gifts. You could even have a sigh box at work. Maybe your company will match the funds you raise?

Remember to make your local newspaper and radio station aware of your event; it's good publicity for you and might encourage others to hold their own event.
